TCM's Wolf Creek 850 Adventure

Gordon and Angela White of Truck Camper Magazine will be flying in from Pennsylvania to do a road test of our new Wolf Creek 850 truck camper. They will be touring some of the most beautiful places in Oregon and Northern California over the next ten days.

Along the way, they are sending in a picture and a short tease for the stories they will be writing for Truck Camper Magazine. Check back to see where they've been each day and then check out Truck Camper Magazine the week of July 11th for not one, not two, but three adventure stories with the Wolf Creek 850!

You can also see Truck Camper Magazine's previous stories on Northwood, Arctic Fox, and Wolf Creek on TCM's website Don't miss their 2010 Northwood factory tour and the amazing Florida adventure story with an Arctic Fox 865!

Day 5: John Day Fossil Beds

We had a great day in John Day Fossil Beds. What a beautiful drive! We went to both the Sheep Rock Unit and Painted Hills Unit of John Day Fossil Beds and took lots of photos and videos. Our shoes were red when we explored the Painted Hills of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. We encountered interesting creatures in the Paleontology Center!

Day 6: Ochoco Divide

Greetings from the Ochoco Divide! We're at 4,722 feet at the Ochoco Pass National Forest Service Campground (Spot #9). Today we drove the Wolf Creek to where the pavement ended, and our off-road adventure began. Just wait until you see the molten land of lava we discovered!

Day 7: Crater Lake

If you had to guess where we went today based on our picture, you might say Alaska in January, not Oregon's Crater Lake National Park in June. You'll enjoy the rest of these unbelievable pictures.

Day 8: Castle Crags State Park

We drove the Wolf Creek into Castle Crags State Park in California and had to maneuver around some falling rocks. You should see the Crags, and the mysterious mist.

Day 9: Redwoods National Park

The waves were rolling in as we drove into Redwoods National Park. You can only imagine how tall and wide these magnificent trees are!

Day 11: Sea Lion Caves

We visited the Sea Lion Caves about eleven miles north of Florence, Oregon, right on the coast. Be glad you can see this picture, and not smell it (they were seriously stinky). We got some breathtaking pictures of the lighthouse next to the caves.

Day 12: Mount Hood

On day 12 of our adventure, we explored the heights of Mount Hood. The mountain was white with snow and almost too bright in the clear sunlight to look at. We camped at Trillium Lake that night.

Day 13: Columbia River Gorge

After a night of amazing fireworks, we drove the Columbia River Gorge back to Northwood and stopped to check out the waterfalls. It's almost time to return the Wolf Creek. Just wait until you see the video we've been shooting during our adventure!
